Observation

1)a) There were many shampoos and other hygiene products in the bathroom in a cabinet and the shower/tub area that will need to be removed as they will be accessible to children in care in their current location. 1)a) The laundry soap and bleach are on an open shelf in the laundry room, which will be accessible to older children. 1)a) There is a sliding-type latch on the cabinet under the kitchen sink that is not acceptable for keeping toxic products inaccessible due to it's ease of use. A child could open this type of safety latch. 2)a) One of the doors to the outbuilding in the licensed outdoor space was not locked to prevent child access. 5) There was a steam mop in the pantry. The pantry will be accessible to children in care. 5) There was a mower and yard tools accessible in the back of the yard. There is a short, 3 foot high fence across this part of the yard but this does not meet the fencing requirements to prevent access to maintenance equipment and mowers. The fence would need to be 4 feet high to meet requirements, or the mower and yard tools would need to be removed or locked in the storage building.
